The internet was born of links, and while I’m yet to be seen as an influence among my peers, I’ll be linking here some of the things I find during my gaming searches. Interesting references, useful online tools, paid affiliates (hint hint…) and other such stuff will be added to this page, if only for my personal reference.
- A great, open-form role-playing system, one reliant on story and player narrative rather than complex tables or maths.
- A world-scale fractal-based map generation tool with lots of options and easy to use, with fantastic options to download maps in differing styles. A personal favourite.
- A town/city scale generator which, in my opinion, is a stand out among the many I’ve tried, I really like the format of maps it produces, fitting nicely in line with a fantasy feeling.
My own web-apps, for now, just cyberpunk stuff…
- afour.games black market generator
- Intended to generate a wide range of things for cyberpunk games, aimed at use with the Technoir system, but should be adaptable within the cyberpunk genre.
- afour.games gig/job generator
- When you need to know just what preem deals the fixer is laying out (and you hadn’t done any session prep…) Again, aimed at Technoir but adaptable cyberpunk content.
- afour.games computer systems / hacking task generator/
- Another zero-prep tool for when your chooms are getting wired in and you need to fill out what thet find in cyberspace, as before- aimed at Technoir but adaptable.
